We are pleased to get involved with projects at an early stage to advise of budget costings, design and value engineered solutions

Watson & Cox started trading as Building Contractors in Rushden, Northamptonshire in 1971 and after sustained growth we moved to our present Head Office at Park Farm, Wellingborough in 1984.

Over the years we have delivered high quality customer focused services to public and private sector clients and with our management expertise have developed an extensive portfolio across principal market sectors including education, commercial, industrial, leisure and residential.

1984

Moved to new building in Wellingborough

Having successfully completed several local projects, the business quickly grew forcing the need for new premises.  In this year we built a bespoke office to accommodate our growing workforce.

1971

Formed in Duck Street in Rushden by Les Cox and Owen Sanders, the 'head office' was a small loft room, up a rickety set of wooden stairs, in an outbuilding of a house.  Watson & Cox was born.

1996

25th anniversary

In the year of our 25th anniversary, the Queen visited our completed project of Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Centre.

The Client, Architect and Watson & Cox Construction were proud to receive one of only sixteen highly coveted National RIBA Awards for this building, measured against the twin criteria of design and quality of construction.

The turn of the new millenium saw us complete one of the first office buildings on The Lakes area of Northampton

2011

Jake Sanders joined the company

Our Director Jake joined the family business partnering with his father Owen Sanders in the running of Watson & Cox Ltd

Focus on our business practices and streamlining our processes helped us gain accreditation to both ISO 9001 and 14001 with the added benefits of internal and external audit
